My Philsophy

Palindrome Fitness is build on the foundation of the interconnectedness of the body, mind and soul – you can’t have one without the other. The purpose of Palindrome Fitness is to teach people how to use their bodies so they can go out and do the things they love. By strengthening your body you strengthen your mind which then leads you to do the things that brings joy to your life and feeds your soul.

I prefer to coach people one-on-one because that way my clients are able to receive the most feedback. Each person is unique, comes from a different fitness background and lifestyle. Your body is going to move and feel completely different from someone else’s so it needs specific direction. One-on-one coaching (in-person or online) allows the client to get the precise help they need for their body.

As a corrective exercise specialist with an athletic training and physical therapy background using correct form and nailing down movement patterns is extremely important to me. It’s crucial for my clients to understand what muscles they’re supposed to be using during various lifts. When they go to repeat this motion in real life they’ll know how to hold their bodies –  keeping injuries at bay.

My Background

Hola, Hannah here!

I’m goofy, weird and a huge nerd who LOVES learning. My purpose in life is to help people and my passion is movement. I am a kid at heart and believe that we need to find fun everyday. It’s important to find joy and playfulness on a daily basis because if we’re not having fun then what’s the point?

Growing up I spent a lot of time outside climbing trees, swimming and playing just about every sport under the sun. Now, hiking is one of my favorite activities – I love pushing my body to new extremes and a challenging scramble makes me feel alive. Weight lifting, rock climbing/bouldering, surfing and walking the dogs are a few of my favorite ways to stay active.

I consider myself a bit of a nomad – I was born in Chicago, moved to Miami when I was 4, then moved to Indiana in the middle of high school. I came down to Charleston to attend College of Charleston where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. After working for a few years as a certified personal trainer I was ready to further my education. In May 2020 I graduated from The Citadel with a Masters Degree in Health, Exercise, and Sport Science. Eventually my goal is to earn my PhD in Neuroscience and Human Movement.

My extended education allows me to be an expert in my field and share this knowledge to help others live happier, healthier, stronger lives.
