How do I structure a workout? 🤔

First we need to zoom out, look at the big picture + answer these questions:

1. What is your goal?

2. When do you want to reach your goal? Is that realistic?

3. How many times a week can you commit to workout? (This will determine training split type)

4. Exercise selection + rep schemes are based off your  goal + fitness level

EXAMPLE:

1. Who – intermediate level* (correct form on all exercises)
2. Goal – lose bf% + increase lean muscle mass
3. Timeline – 6 months
4. Workouts – 3x/week for 60-90 minutes

       Now that we have this background information we can move forward with creating a program**

       SAMPLE WORKOUT:

1. Day 1 – Legs
2. Day 2 – Push
3. Day 3 – Pull

Pick 4-8 exercises for each workout day. Perform 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. Continue with the same   workouts for 6 weeks. Repeat this process for 6 months. 

Why is structuring workouts important?

When we fail to prepare, we prepare to fail. Let that sink in. If you don’t have a plan going into your workouts how can you expect to find success? That’s like jumping in the car and driving without a destination or a map. You’re never going to find your way…
